11th July 1916, the 14th Welsh (Swansea) Battalion were brought out off the front line. The battalion lost 376 men either killed, wounded or missing out of the 676 men who started the attack on the 10th. 100 of those men wounded would late die from their injuries.
It wouldn’t bee for a few days or weeks later those photos
of those men who were killed were published in The Daily Cambrian Leader.
